As part of Singapore's vision for its future, the drive is also towards the creation of a cosmopolitan city that attracts world class companies and the best talents, be it in the areas of trade and commerce, finance, education, sports or the arts.

In line with this national aspiration, a series of stamps and stamp sheets have been produced highlighting the theme Singapore, A Global City, in conjuction with the World Stamp Championship to be held in Singapore in 2004. This third and final set of two stamps in the series illustrates the sub-theme "Trade and Industry".
